Scientists testing which crops could flourish in silt

With silt suffocating productive land across Hawke's Bay after Cyclone Gabrielle, horticulturalists are grappling with growing in the new conditions.

But Plant and Food Research is on a mission to help them find out what crops could, in fact, flourish, helping their businesses do the same.
