Pacific warns ‘Earth on red alert’ for climate crisis

A global stocktake has warned the world will heat by more than 1.5 degrees Celsius unless nations produce tougher policies.

Pacific leaders are warning the world is on red alert when it comes to the climate crisis.

A global stock take has warned the earth’s atmosphere will heat up by more than 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels unless nations produce tougher policies.

The UK-based New Climate Institute says some countries have yet to submit a climate plan and others such as Australia are judged to have offered no substantial improvement on their previous proposals.
