Covid-19: Government brings forward booster shots to fight Omicron

In a race to beat Omicron to winter, the government has brought forward vaccinations for Covid-19 booster shots and announced the date children can be immunised.

Come mid-January, another three million people will be eligible for their third booster dose and close to half a million children between the age of 5 and 11 will be able to roll up their sleeves.

Vaccination centres are already planning for a busy start to the new year.
