In episode 3, Better Ancestors continues to follow the story of The Eco School, a Whanganui-based education centre that provides both forest school and permaculture education programs. This week we look at how permaculture education is being used to teach people to think holistically and develop long term and integrated thinking skills. These skills can be used to manage land in sustainable and efficient ways that benefit the environment, and provide a framework for finding interconnection in the world around us. As Nelson Lebo says, “environmental education has no start and no end point.” It is never too late to explore new ways of thinking and to discover how to be a better ancestor.
